Your first physiotherapy appointment will include time to discuss your complaint and it's history before a full examination. In addition we will need to ask you about your general health, medications and lifestyle in order to give you the best treatment possible. Your physiotherapist will discuss the findings of your assessment and provide you with advice and treatment appropriate for your condition. Please remember to bring details of any medications you are taking, including supplements and results of any scans or investigations relevant to your condition.
Please allow up to an hour for your first consultation.
Once you have had an initial consultation, further treatment sessions will usually be standard consultations.
Please call us before booking your appointment to confirm requirements. EPC / Team Care arrangements from your GP will give you a Medicare rebate for part of the appointment cost, you will need to pay the full amount then claim the rebate, (which we can usually do at time of payment if you bring your medicare card). For any other health claims or benefits please contact us in advance for advice.
Please note that our clinic is not wheelchair accessible but we may be able to offer you a home visit, therefore please contact us to talk to our physiotherapist and discuss your needs and the options available to you.
If you arrive late for your appointment you may unfortunately receive a shorter appointment with your physiotherapist finishing at the end of your allocated time so that it does not impact on other clients. .
Missed appointments may affect your recovery, therefore we ask you to keep all appointments with your physiotherapist whenever possible to help you get better results from treatment.
If you cannot attend your appointment please contact us with as much notice as possible so that we can offer your appointment to someone else in need.
We ask for 24 hours notice of cancellation except in an emergency or due to illness or covid isolation.
Payment is required on the day of treatment. You can claim on your health fund via HICAPS - remember to bring your health fund card. We can accept payment in cash, EFTPOS or Qoin.
If you have a Medicare EPC / Team Care Arrangement we will need a referral from your GP prior to your appointment, please see information above.
